Scholarships & Awards
The Pine-Richland High School PTO will award the "We are PR" scholarship, valued at $1,000, to a graduating senior from the Class of 2025. There is no minimum GPA requirement, nor is it based on financial need. The completed application is due April 20, 2025. Recommendations are due April 27, 2025.
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Western Pennsylvania is pleased to announce a scholarship program for students pursuing degrees in Plumbing, HVAC, Engineering or Construction-related fields of study. The MCA of Western Pennsylvania will recognize four (4) outstanding students by awarding each a $1,000.00 scholarship. These scholarships are available to students attending two or four-year programs at accredited colleges, universities, and technical schools.
The Elfinwild and North Allegheny Lions Clubs invite seniors to apply for the 2025 Samuel M. Reno Scholarship for students who expect to attend college in the fall of 2025, and the Robert Rino Scholarship for students who expect to attend a technical school. Applications are available in Naviance. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, April 30.
Eligible students have been accepted into an accredited post-high school educational institution. They demonstrate unmet financial need.
The 2025 North Hills Ebony Women Norma Jean Duncan Ware Scholarship is now accepting applications! This $2,000 scholarship is an incredible opportunity for African American high school seniors in the North Hills area. A link to the application is in Naviance.
Three Rivers Desk and Derrick Club offer scholarships to students planning to pursue a four-year energy-related degree from a college or university or those enrolled in a Trade or Vocational degree program.
Applications for the PMHF Community Service Scholarship are now available online. Any senior planning to attend an accredited two or four- year post-high school education program is eligible to apply.
The Western Chapter Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame is offering two scholarships of $2000. Applications are now available in Naviance or the Class of 2025 Google Classroom. The deadline to apply is February 15, 2025.
Events & Programs
As digital testing arrives for both the SAT and ACT, more high-profile colleges have removed or adjusted score-optional testing policies. On Thursday, May 1, please join Goldstein Test Prep founder Mike Goldstein and Director of College and Career Counseling, Jean Whalen, to discuss and make sense of the recent changes in admissions testing.
CCAC will visit PRHS virtually during the 4th period on Wednesday, April 23. Interested students should sign up in their Naviance accounts.
Join WQED Film Academy—in-person or virtually—to learn how to become a digital storyteller.
College visits began Monday, September 16, 2024, and run throughout the fall. This is a great way to find out about a school, its scholarships, financial aid, admission requirements and student life.
