A.W. Beattie Career Center
A.W. Beattie Career Center offers students who have completed ninth grade an opportunity to enroll in a one, two or three-year career and technical education (CTE) program of study to explore careers and gain career and college-ready skills through instruction of academic content made accessible through hands-on context, introduction to workplace competencies, participation in internships and engagement with mentors within a selected career focus.
Three credits are awarded each year to students successfully completing career coursework. A.W. Beattie Career Center credits and grades are included in the GPA and class rank. Students attend A.W. Beattie Career Center for one half of the school day, in either the morning or afternoon session, and complete the other half of the day at Pine-Richland High School.
The morning session begins at 7:45 am and ends at 10:15 am. The afternoon session begins at 12:30 pm and ends at 2:30 pm. Transportation is provided by the school district.
