The Man Who Came to Dinner

A Comedy in Three Acts
By Moss Hart and George S. Kaufmann

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stanley are thrilled when the FAMOUS Sheridan Whiteside, a brilliant, witty and widely beloved radio celebrity, accepts their invitation to dinner on his tour through their little town of Mesalia, Ohio.  However, when Whiteside injures himself by slipping on a piece of ice on their doorstep and is confined to their home for the month of December, the Stanleys are not so pleased with the change in their household.  Brilliant and beloved he may be, but Whiteside proves to be an obnoxious, entitled princeling who does not suffer fools.  He proceeds to make increasingly brash and offensive proclamations while offering unsolicited advice to everyone in their home.  When a romance begins between his assistant and a local reporter, Whiteside is beside himself with rage and will resort to ANYTHING to break them up.
