The Pine-Richland School Board approved two changes to the 2024-2025 Academic Calendar, including the addition of Monday, January 20, as a day off for students, and moving the day off scheduled for Monday, May 5, to Friday, May 2.
Senior Niharika Nadipalli recently spoke at a legislative briefing in Harrisburg. Nia, a member of the Phipps’ Youth Climate Advocacy Committee, spoke on October 2 about the effects of radon on youth in her effort to help pass Senate Bill 1328.
The district welcomes back Dr. C. Thomas Brophy for a presentation on Drug, Alcohol and Vaping Prevention and Intervention scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, in the Pine-Richland High School Auditorium.

Last month, Custodian Mr. Joe Strobel was recognized for his heroic actions at a local restaurant when he successfully performed the Heimlich maneuver on a choking diner. As part of his recognition, Mr. Strobel was interviewed by Mrs. Leticia Harshman's journalism class.

Last Sunday, Pine-Richland High School Custodian Joe Strobel became a hero after successfully performing the Heimlich on a fellow restaurant patron.
