Amanda Vigliotti Named Pittsburgh Penguins Most Valuable Educator

Congratulations to Amanda Vigliotti, biology teacher at Pine-Richland High School!
Mrs. Vigliotti, who has taught biology at Pine-Richland since 2017, was recently selected as the Pittsburgh Penguins and Highmark Most Valuable Educator Award recipient. Mrs. Vigliotti was nominated by sophomore Emma Gallagher, who wrote an essay describing her teacher’s impact on her ninth-grade biology class, the welcoming environment she creates for her students, and how she goes above and beyond to prioritize her students' well-being and academic success.
In a surprise celebration on Friday afternoon, representatives from the Pittsburgh Penguins and Highmark visited Pine-Richland High School to present Mrs. Vigliotti with a Sidney Crosby jersey and an all-expense paid trip to see the Penguins play the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on February 28.
Congratulations, Mrs. Vigliotti! Thank you for all you do for our students!
