Parents must accompany children in eighth grade and younger. Parents and other family members are encouraged to attend with students in grades 9-12.

Sensory movie night will include:

  • Adjustments for Comfort: Reduced volume and dim lighting to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Open Space: Plenty of room for your students to move around, sing along, and express themselves freely. Please bring your own pillows/blankets. No chairs. Some tables will be available in the back.
  • Sensory Supports: Please bring noise-free fidgets and/or headphones.

Outside snacks are not permitted. Allergy-friendly concessions will be available for purchase. A room for sensory breaks will be available during the event. All families are encouraged to bring blankets and fidget toys.

All proceeds benefit Best Buddies. Best Buddies helps to create one-to-one friendships between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), offering social mentoring while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion for a population that is often isolated and excluded. Through their participation, people with IDD form meaningful connections with their peers, gain self-confidence and self-esteem and share interests, experiences, and activities that many other individuals enjoy.
