Junior Wins National Jimmy Award for Dance

Junior Loren Prisuta earned the award of Best Dancer for excellence in dance in movement at the 2026 Jimmy Awards on Monday, June 22.
Loren earned a trip to the Jimmy Awards with her Outstanding Actress Gene Kelley Award for her role as Velma Kelly in Pine-Richland High School's production of Chicago: Teen Edition.
The National High School Musical Theatre Awards, otherwise known as the Jimmy Awards, was established in 2009 to elevate the importance of theatre arts education in schools and reward excellence in student performance.
The Jimmy Awards includes 58 affiliated regional high school musical theatre awards programs and impacts over 180,000 students from 2,600 high schools.
Nominees selected by these regional competitions travel to New York City to participate in the national program, a rigorous theatre intensive that includes coaching sessions, training, and rehearsals led by some of Broadway’s most accomplished professionals, culminating in a talent showcase.
