Juniors Compete in National Forensics Tournament
Juniors Maddie Gross and Arrash Sheikh, members of the Pine-Richland Forensics Speech and Debate Team, qualified to compete at the University of Kentucky's J.W. Patterson Tournament of Champions in Poetry and Extemporaneous Speaking. This was the first time PRHS sent students to the national tournament. At the April tournament, Maddie and Arrash competed against 891 students from 316 schools representing 39 states.
The tournament is invitation only, and students must have placed in the top six in at least two different tournaments earlier in the season. Congratulations, Maddie and Arrash!
