Nine AFJROTC Cadets Complete Officer Leadership School

Nine Pine-Richland High School Air Force Junior ROTC cadets participated in the 25th Annual Mountaineer Cadet Officer Leadership School at Concord University in West Virginia.

Senior PK Kucyk earned the Brigadier General Chuck Yeager Leadership Award and was selected as group commander. Junior Riley Goutmann earned the Outstanding Cadet Award in Charlie Flight. Sophomore Vincent Martini and junior Hannah Tannert earned Honor Flight Awards for Echo Flight. 

More than 230 students representing 22 schools from eight states participated in the camp, held June 21-27. Activities included 5:00 am wake-ups, military marching and rifle drill, leadership academic classes and exercises, first-aid and buddy-care, physical training, survival training, Rope Bridge and orienteering training, land navigation, obstacle course, uniform and room inspections, four intramural sports (kickball, ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, and flicker-ball), and American Flag Honors. Pine-Richland's cadets successfully completed all training and evaluation requirements to graduate.
