Mini-Thon Raises Over $30,000 for Pediatric Cancer
Pine-Richland High School students raised over $30,000 for pediatric cancer through their Mini-Thon program this year.
Mini-Thon is a student-led club at Pine-Richland High School dedicated to raising funds for pediatric cancer through the Four Diamonds Foundation. All proceeds support treatment and cancer research.
The club held many fundraisers throughout the school year, including their culminating event at Pine-Richland High School on April 26. More than 200 students attended Mini-Thon, participating in fundraising activities including dance challenges and a wing-eating contest. Leading up to Mini-Thon, teachers volunteered to sit in a dunk tank, and students had the opportunity to donate for a chance to dunk their favorite teachers during their lunch periods.
Mini-Thon is led by senior chairs Taylor Brown, Georgia Rottinghaus, Prisha Dargan, Jack Salvadore, Alex Baculik, and Cody Cutone, and five underclassman captains.
