Two Seniors Take Top Spot in Shakespeare Competition
Seniors John Folino and Jillian Uzelac won Best Scene in the Pittsburgh Public Theater's Shakespeare Showcase of Finalists for their scene from Taming of the Shrew on February 24.
Earlier this month, a group of Pine-Richland High School students participated in the Shakespeare Monologue and Scene Contest at the O'Reilly Theater. In the finals, students compete for the titles of Best Monologue and Best Scene.
During the February 24 Showcase of Finalists, Pine-Richland High School teacher Michelle Bruno was also celebrated and awarded the Rob Zellers Award for Excellence in Arts Education.
Students earning honorable mentions in the Shakespeare Monologue and Scene Contest include seniors Aeryn Hayden, Grace Kay, Ava Means, Addison Robb and Tori Roccia, juniors MacKenzie Dry-Henich and Kamryn Holderman-Berger, and sophomores Aubrey Crist, Bailey Crist and Samantha Molinaro.
