Sophomores Recognized for National German Exam Scores

Twelve sophomores recently participated in the National German Exam, an annual assessment administered by the American Association of Teachers of German. Each year, more than 15,000 high school students across the country take this rigorous exam, which measures reading and listening skills through authentic German-language materials.
Congratulations to Tisha Joshi and Anamaria Pomirleanu, who earned Gold, and to Zoey Campbell, who earned Silver!
We also congratulate Caroline Gregorowicz, Ellie Lebair, Saanvi Santpure (not pictured) and Brooke Wollenschlaeger on earning Achievement Awards, and Arav Amin, Ethan Corbin, Mark Corbin, Josie Dember and Vienna Restelli on earning Participatory Awards!
Students scoring in the 90th percentile or higher receive the Gold Medal, while the Silver Medal is awarded for the 80th–89th percentiles and the Bronze Medal for the 70th–79th percentiles. Students are also recognized with Achievement and Participatory Awards for high scores. These rankings not only recognize individual proficiency but also serve as a gateway for top scorers to apply for exclusive study-abroad scholarships.
